3 Queen's Square, Clydebank Scotland
3 Queen’s Square is the latest regeneration project by Clydebank Rebuilt Ltd. The scheme includes Solar LED Light Tiles by Greenlight Technologies which contain embedded artwork designed by local schoolchildren to create a simple, cost effective bespoke lighting feature which will be enjoyed for many years to come.
The solar LED light tiles require no wiring or maintenance and can be fully recycled at end of life ensuring that ourselves and our clients comply fully with the latest RoHS and WEEE directives. Greenlight technologies is registered with Lumicom for recycling services. The tiles are entirely self powered, through advanced ultra-capacitor technology and they switch on and off automatically at dusk and dawn. They are hermetically sealed at the factory ensuring that they are fully waterproof, they have a non slip hard wearing polycarbonate top surface which is highly vandal resistant. In addition the tiles are also able to withstand the weight of vehicular traffic. Solar LED Light Tiles are a simple and effective way to create a striking and enduring lighting feature that represents excellent value for money. |
The Carlton George Hotel, Glasgow
Greenlight Technologies was asked recently to provide illumination for a bespoke installation of giant thistles where the client was keen to see the thistles resting on a carpet of purple light. Working closely with Andy Fairweather Agency's and Elektoled UK and the clients own specialist fabricator we designed and fabricated a recessed lightbox containing RGB colour change LED LIGHT RIBBON with remote control drivers that allows the colour of the carpet of light to be changed for specific themed and sponsored events without having to access the drivers. Working from sketch details the project was extremely fast track being completed within one week including bespoke fabrication of the lighting assembly ready for installation ahead of the grand opening of the refurbished entrance to the hotel. |
The Scotsman Spa, Edinburgh
Responding to a request from the client to help them resolve a difficulty in maintaining their current lighting system for their feature glass wall within the prestigious Scotsman Spa due to short lamp life and restricted access for maintenance, Greenlight Technologies devised a replacement lighting system based upon the versatile flexible LED neon. The replacement lighting system requires virtually no maintenance due to a staggering 50,000 hour average lifespan of the flexible LED neon. Energy consumption was more than halved as well meaning that the client would actually recover the cost of the refurbishment works over the next few years, making this a very worthwhile use of funds. be sure to check out our FLEXILED NEON system to see for yourself what an amazing product this is. What could you do with it? |
